MANLUK.COM / ROCK RIVER / YAMAHA PR - SMX RD2 2023

With the second round of the SMX Playoff series coming to fruition on Saturday, the Flo Motorsports backed team at Manluk Rock River Racing was equipped for the toughest of challenges prior to the green flag waving in Chicago. After tirelessly working in preparation throughout the week, all involved in the Yamaha assembly were confident that they could excel at the highest level.

The number seventy-eight of Grant Harlan continued to ascend throughout the premier division on the professional circuit, with a multitude of strong laps being presented throughout qualification. It was evident that Harlan’s skillset was set to flourish on the wide-open layout that was established in Joliet, and Grant certainly proved that he was an elite-level professional as the first (of two) main events began.

After qualifying sixteenth, Harlan would battle amongst world-renowned competition to obtain a solid moto score of twentieth as action ceased for the first portion of action. And to conclude the evening with the second-half of racing, it was Harlan who demonstrated magnificent race-craft while making a number of passes — en route to claiming seventeenth for his final moto score, and a well-deserved eighteenth overall. As only one more venue remains to be completed within the SMX Championship, the entirety of the Manluk Rock River Racing team is eager to present their skills on the highest of platforms in all of the sport. With unprecedented territory set to be embarked on, those within the Yamaha assembly are confident that they will thrive while stationed in Los Angeles, California.
