MUC-OFF / FXR / CLUBMX – PRE-RACE REPORT - ROUND 4 GLENDALE TRIPLE CROWN

Triple Crown – coming your way! January races are already over as we start the new month of February. With that will come a few exciting things: 1. The first Triple Crown of the series. These are always very exciting and nerve racking at the same time. From the team perspective, simply just making the show becomes a priority because once you are in, anything can happen. It is not uncommon for someone to win the overall without winning one of the races. Consistency matters. And 2: the rookie meltdown. These events are not for the faint of heart, so the added pressure seems to be particularly hard on the young ones. The races this weekend in Glendale are going to be ones the fans will remember for a long time to come.

COTY SCHOCK #37: Let me start by saying congratulations! Coty got the holeshot, led every lap and took home the checkered flag in the heat race aboard his Flo Motorsports equipped Yamaha. Pretty damn impressive by any standards. The best thing is, he has not shown his best stuff yet. As the season progresses, he continues to build momentum and confidence that will continue to propel him up the rankings. [Side note: thank you also to the broadcast crew for being prepared to talk about Coty when the opportunity presented itself]. Coty went on the finish fifth in the main event and continues to rack up the points overall.

Going into Glendale Coty has some things in his favor. He is a great starter, likes the track layout and has the best fitness of his career. Triple crown races play into his style of racing and the training this week at the ClubMX facility was based around the shorter, high intensity races. He is ready for battle.

JETT REYNOLDS #54: Jett stayed in California after San Diego due to a slight illness that many of the riders seemed to have. He was not his normal, feisty self on race night in Anaheim but still managed to bring home a thirteenth-place overall finish. Not his best stuff, but considering the circumstances, he comes home good to fight another day. He too had an intensive week of training and is ready to get back in the fight. As for the Triple Crown event -this will be his first one. His qualifying speed has been good, and his sprint lap speed has also been good. This format, and only one set of whoops, should be ideal for him to show what he can do. Jett on his Flo Motorsports equipped Yamaha also excels on the more hard packed tracks.

Welcome to the Future: The program is now called SMX Next and it is great. We are fortunate to have two entries from our team participate:

#600: Alex Fedortsov: The eighteen year old “A” rider who lives here at ClubMX has been putting in the time to be ready specifically for Glendale. He trains with the pro riders here at the facility and we also gave him the opportunity to go with Max to the Triumph facility earlier this month. Most people would never know that we have relationships like that with our competitors, but ClubMX truly has an open-door policy. You can see the rewards of the SMX Next program on full display this season and now it is up to Alex to show what he can do.

#981: Ryder Malinoski: Also a young “A” rider, Ryder has been testing his skills on the arenacross circuit close to home here at ClubMX. He too puts in a ton of time training on the very technical tracks here and has positioned himself to be a contender in Glendale. He trains with the pro riders as well and has the ability to absorb the knowledge they share with him to expedite the learning process. To describe Ryder in one word: fearless!

We have continued the production of our popular video series. Please share it as it shows some very cool “behind the scenes” things that most people never see. Please give it a watch and share it. RECENT VIDEO: → https://youtu.be/eB-VGXacNYQ?si=OTDjjRB0dMRed8LC
