With three rounds of the 2023 AMA Pro Motocross Championship completed prior to traveling to High Point, the FLO Motorsports backed Manluk Rock River Racing Yamaha team had been successful in obtaining extraordinary results amongst the highest level(s) of the sport, in both the 250cc and 450cc MX classifications. And as racing began in Pennsylvania, their aspirations were no different; as all members of the team embodied hard-work while relentlessly charging toward the checkered flag.
The number seventy-eight of Grant Harlan would begin his quest at High Point with a superb series of laps in practice, where he gathered a final standing of twelfth prior to advancing to the first moto. Once there, he would battle amongst the muddied racetrack with precise throttle control and exceptional line selection; refusing to follow his opponents, and instead, make daring passes with efficient pathways amongst the Pennsylvania hillside. His tenacity would eventually lead to a moto score of eleven, being obtained, prior to advancing to the second round of action in the latter afternoon hours. As the green flag then waved for moto number-two, it was Harlan who was solidified inside the top-ten. He refused to do anything but ascend amongst the best in the division, and throughout the entirety of the nearly thirty-seven minute moto, he would rise to an eventual finishing position of ninth.
