MUC-OFF / FXR / CLUBMX – PRE-RACE REPORT - ROUND 30 SUPERMOTOCROSS - ST. LOUIS
ROUND 2 HAS MORE IMPORTANCE NOW!
CHESTERFIELD, SC – De’Ja Vu all over again. Seems like just last year we were navigating the LCQ process with Phil and here we are doing it again with Coty. He did not disappoint – getting the holeshot and winning the race. We are turning the process into a positive, calling it a warm-up race since there is ample time between that race and the main event. As for the weather in Charlotte – that was unexpected. We anticipated some rain close to the end of the event, but it surprised everyone and came early. Good decisions were made by the promoters and staff to consider the safety of the track workers and riders. That does however make the double points round more important for those that were counting on an improved second moto in Charlotte.
Coty Schock – #37 | 450 Class
As mentioned, winning the LCQ and advancing to the main were good practice for Flo Motorsports backed Coty in Charlotte. The main event did not go quite as well as he hit a tough block on the first lap and fell back to last place. He fought his way back up through the pack to eighteenth place and definitely not to his liking. He now sits 23rd overall in points and can/needs to do much better. Charlotte was his proverbial mulligan. The race this weekend in St. Louis is more of a Supercross style feel since it is indoors. Coty has a great resume on those types of tracks and will make his best effort to improve his overall standing. With double points on the docket, now is his chance to make a difference.

Max Vohland – #92 | 250 Class
Max was on point most of the day in Charlotte. The Flo Motorsports athlete qualified well and had a decent gate pick for the first moto. Unfortunately, he collided with another rider in the first corner and fell back to last place. He worked his way up to twelfth and with some other riders getting penalized for jumping on a red cross flag, ended up tenth on the day. Considering the one moto format, Max now sits in eighth overall in the championship standings. He too will benefit from the St. Louis style track and have an opportunity to move up in the standings this weekend.

Ryder Malinoski – #981 | 250 Allstar Class
Unfortunately, Ryder did not get to race in Charlotte. The rains came and washed away his chance. St. Louis will be his last shot for the SMX Next season to put in a good score. He has been practicing all week on our regular Supercross track and definitely has the speed and endurance to put it on the box. He has had moments of greatness in the 2025 season and just needs to put it all together to post a good result.
