What a difference a day makes: Our team is very optimistic. We believe that good things will come with hard work, dedication and, most of all, perseverance. We just need to give people something to talk about and they will show the love. On Saturday, both Coty and Jett did just that. Coty’s amazing starts led to his first podium visit and Jett’s consistency led to his personal best P10 in Supercross. It is not just what happened on the track that was so moving, it was the outpouring of support after the race that proved we are on the right trajectory.
COTY SCHOCK #37: Coty loves to ride his Flo Motorsports backed dirt bike. He also likes to build 2-stroke bikes as a hobby and most recently he is looking to procure a Yamaha YZ250. Right before the first triple-crown race in Arlington, team owner Brandon Haas proclaimed to Coty – “If you get two of the three holeshots tonight, I will give you my YZ250 two-stroke race bike”. That unbelievable offer lit a fire in our entire pit area. Coty wanted to be clear – “If I get two holeshots tonight … you are going to give me your race bike????” The stage was set. In the first race, Coty was P2 at the line by half a wheel. In the second race, P6 at the line and finally in the third race, P1 by a bike length. The excitement on the evening was palpable adding to the potential of a podium finish. As the races rolled on, Coty did everything necessary to achieve his personal best of P2 and changed the momentum for himself and the team in just one night.

The support from everyone in and around the podium was somewhat unexpected. From photographers to officials and everyone in between – congratulations were coming from everywhere. We relished the moment until they finally had to push us away to run the 450 race. Text messages, phone calls, people shouting from the stands and in the pits all indicated something special had taken place – and it did. The after affects of the evening are still going on today and with that comes greater expectations. The bar has been raised but Coty takes it all in stride and is looking forward to the competition.
JETT REYNOLDS #54: The time off from the race schedule did wonders for Jett. He was able to finally get the flu behind him and put in the necessary effort to show what he is capable of. At press day on Friday, it was clear that this would be the best version of Jett that we have seen so far. With his teammate having the potential of a new dirt bike on the evening, the team came up with some motivating opportunities for Jett as well, but none that I could put in print. He simply needed to achieve an overall top ten finish to be rewarded. His qualifying effort was not exactly newsworthy as he captured the final spot in the main event without having to go through the LCQ.

He felt good, his bike was ready, and it was time to get the show on the road. As predicted Jett had some solid finishes of fourteen, nine and thirteen, working out to an overall finish of ten aboard his Flo Motorsports equipped Yamaha. You have to love moto math. He recorded his Supercross personal best of P10 and was elated as was the rest of the team. That will build some confidence before he heads to the next round in Indianapolis where the East will meet the West.
This was cool - Influncer Demi Bagby visited us in Glendale.
