Ironman was a tough event for the Racers! There were several track changes made from previous years in which made the racing surface very difficult for the guys to be able to find their proper rhythm. Also, the high temperature & humidity level caused great fitness challenges.

For Flo Motorsports backed Marshal Weltin, he has done a great job finding his form late in the season. He showed a lot of grit to fight through the conditions & record his best moto finish of the season late in the second moto to secure 17th Overall.

Bruce Shelly's result card doesn't show his speed on the day. Bryce was one of the first Racers to record fast qualifying times aboard his Flo Motorsports equipped Yamaha. During both motos he was running Top 20 until his body started having signs of Heat Exhaustion. He was aware of it in the moment & just backed off the pace to lower his heart rate, all while not retiring the moto early. However, this caused him to lose several positions in the racetrack, but no DNF.

Flo Motorsports athlete Kyle Wise had a career day! In the first moto, Kyle went from 39th to last to 22nd to just miss the points. Then the second moto he ran inside the Top 20 most of the race, securing 20th when the checkers flew. This is his best career finish! He has been gaining a lot of confidence & we look forward to seeing what he can do in the last 2 rounds.
